REAWAKENED
I had a vision,
A vision many could call fantasy,
But I was hopeful,
Hopeful like a dry river,
Awaiting, the rainy season,
Yet I was only visualizing,
The perfect wish,
While not sweating for it.
Time passing,
Piling up into days,
Hope dying,
The vision turning blurry,
Watching it go with the tide,
Leaving only a tiny memory,
Of what once,
Was a gigantic,
Enormous wish,
But the dream has reawakened,
Reawakened by a single step,
That was my captive-
Fighting the fear,
Fear of the unknown.

FADE INTO HAPPINESS
Let it be my guide,
My solace,
Just like a dear friend,
Guide me past any obstacle,
Past any abyss,
Not to succumb to the fear,
Hidden in the infinite walls,
Let it shield me from the frosty nights,
Unbearable with each blowing breeze,
Turning the face pale,
Whereas the body all shivery,
For I know it will provide a fire pot,
When all hope has dwindled.
Let it fill me with energy,
Enough to fuel the green lanterns,
Invoking strength and willpower,
When the going sucks up,
The veins dry,
Let me fade into happiness,
The only force with real power,
To consume all the negatives,
Be my guide, shield and comfort.

WAY OUT
I stare at the darkness,
Blankly and hopeless,
Trying to find a refuge,
From the unending,
Torture-like loneliness,
Overwhelming, while overpowering,
My feeble-turned heart,
A trait hard to disguise,
Even in the darkening day,
Which feels like an eternity,
Of abject melancholy,
While anxiously,
Awaiting my salvation,
Which hopefully is on the horizon,
Far above the infernal darkness,
Past the vast wilderness,
Of mere fantasy,
To a world of absolute ecstasy-
A true solace,
I fervently desire,
As am imprisoned,
Without a secret to surpass,
The biting darkness,
And find my way out.
Blankly and hopeless,
Trying to find a refuge,
From the unending,
Torture-like loneliness,
Overwhelming, while overpowering,
My feeble-turned heart,
A trait hard to disguise,
Even in the darkening day,
Which feels like an eternity,
Of abject melancholy,

Past the vast wilderness,

As am imprisoned,
Without a secret to surpass,
The biting darkness,
And find my way out.

THE 'LUCKY' SMILE
It's often said that a smile has the potential to turn a life around. Smiling could unlock the difficulties you encounter and make them easy to overcome. So 'smile' whenever you can.
I have written a poem down known as "The 'Lucky' Smile" which I hope will be inspirational:
It was a rather,
Strange morning,
The sky dull,
The sun appearing shagged,
The atmosphere calm,
With the air blowing,
In strained,
Irritating sequences,
Not by any chance comparable,
To a breeze to welcome a new day,
'Probably good things,
Do happen,
On such peculiar conditions'
A thought forms in my mind,
Sending a chill down the spine,
Consequently, a thin smile,
Escaping my shaky lips,
A smile hard to comprehend,
Yet a comfort,
To what seemed like agony,
As it was not the ideal day,
I had anticipated,
But still a sign of luck,
Since I hoped,
It could set everything straight!

HOW TO GET BACK INTO A GOOD MOOD
Negative emotions such as sadness, depression among many others are some of the emotions that affect us every single day. A bad mood can be a hindrance to attaining our goals.
There are a few methods that one can use to get back into a good mood:
1) Positive Energy.
When filled with negative energy, a bad mood is inevitable. Doing something to cheer up can be inspiring and motivational. The following suggestions can be of help:
(a) Exercising - When you involve your body in an exercise no matter how simple it is, there is production of a chemical (dopamine) which leads to happiness.
(b) Think of something you cherish - Sad thoughts always lead to a bad mood. Happy thoughts will always get you excited.
(c) Long deep breaths - Try to relax your body by taking continuous deep breaths to help calm down.
(d) Listen to inspiring music - This will get rid of all the sadness and eventually put a smile on your face.
2) Do something new.
The usual stuff you do may sometimes lack the thrill. New input to your program breaks the pattern as your able to create fresh and exciting memories. They can also be things you love but you don't get to do them often; like watching television, taking a walk, visiting a friend and so much more.
3) Writing a Short Gratitude List.
This will have your mind focusing on the stuff your grateful for hence making you happier and proud.
You may be in a bad mood because you keep on referring to yourself as 'poor me'. Being proud of your achievements can get you in a good mood.
For instance, I can say I am grateful for this blog, for having supportive friends, for the great weather. See how easy it can be?
The above methods will always get you in a good mood once your feeling down. Just try them out and tell me later how it felt.
