A demure smile escapes,
My solemn self,
So broad,
Also so genuine,
A smile of restored,
Peace and calmness,
Filled with more,
Hope and happiness;
For another chance,
To find a new start,
Far from the dark past,
That's already mended;
Yet with a fresh start on sight,
Am only left,
Loathing the overshadowed moments-
A melancholic memory,
Marooned in an abysmal corner,
That can never be reinstated,
After feeling the taste,
Of its successor-
A force of positive energy,
Devoid of unworthiness,
Studded with admirable motivation,
To look forward,
To a new day,
Or as I would proclaim,
A fresh start,
Towards a brighter future.
